It's coming…..

It's coming, I can feel it.  I walk through the stores and all summer clothes are going on clearance.  There are aisles and aisles of school supplies.  I look at the weather for the week and I no longer see so many 100 degree days listed in the forecast.  We have no more trips planned, and no more family dropping in to visit.  It's not here but I can feel it wanting to creep up on me.

I have three more weeks until I have to face the reality that my favorite season of the year is coming to an end.  I love Summer! I love grilling, playing in the lake all day, having kids lounge around in their pajamas much longer than they should.  I love the anticipation that is felt for the long awaited summer trip.  I love walking outside bare footed feeling the heat of the concrete against my skin.  I love putting my kids in the bath and finding new bumps and bruises on their legs, a sign to me that my children are being children to their fullest abilities.  The end is coming but I am going to make the most of these beautiful summer days. I know that these little faces that I see waking me up every morning will look so much bigger the next time the sun allows its rays to light the horizon until 10 at night.  It has been a great Summer! And we have a couple more weeks left……. Mission endless summer days begins now!

Below are a few pics from this Summer!

This is where we went to eat after our backpacking trip for breakfast.  It's this hole in the wall.  We were scared at first.  But, so glad we went in!!! It was AHHHHHMAZING!!! I Loved the cream cheese stuffed waffles with berries. And the hash browns tasted like you were eating a loaded mash potato. And the portions are gigantic.  We didn't get it, but their silver spoon platter is really popular.  And it looks like a mountain of food. My mouth is watering just writing about it.

Stopped by Seattle on our way home from our trip so we could get all cleaned up and rest a little.  We ended up doing a lot more eating than anything else.

David's brother and his family came into town.  His boys are soooo cute! We had so much fun with them.

Here is David and Andrew with their two youngest kids.  Can you see the resemblance?  I guess they both decided to make clones of themselves. It's little Andrew and little David all over again.  And these two are two peas in a pod.  Micah loved Mason.  He asks for him all the time.

That's my mom! She came up to watch my kiddos while David and I went on our getaway.  The kids miss her a lot.  Thanks again MOM!!! Miss you!!!
