Daddy's Big Helper

David worked on the car's breaks yesterday.  It was his first time doing the breaks alone and he did an amazing job.  As Micah napped and Ariana was at school Viggo and I hung out in the garage with David.  I had my sister's ipad out because I was finding a you tube video for how to compress the car's break pistons.  And while I was doing this Viggo ran upstairs to get his play tools to help his dad.  So this is what I caught on my sister ipad.  He loves his Spider-Man Pajamas.  It's really hard right now to convince him to get dressed for the day.

Nap Time

Yesterday, I took off to go running and left David with the kids.  It was my first time running the golf course since I had Micah.  The weather was perfect, and it felt so good to run again.  I was in a good mood since I didn't have to stop once, and it didn't feel like I was in terrible shape.  (Today is a different story since I am rather sore...) On my way back I did not foresee how my mood could get any better until I came home and saw this.  Micah and David napping as my other two were busy watching an episode of Dinosaur Train.  David was completely out and so was Micah.  Sometimes I feel like there is no better feeling out there than napping with a baby in your arms.  I love how they just snuggle up into you. 

David's hands normally don't look this dirty.  They are actually as clean as he could get them after working on the car's breaks that day. ( Just in case anyone is concerned for Micah)  I kinda like how dirty and rugged his hands look against Micah's baby soft skin. 

Micah's Baby Blessing

We had Micah's baby blessing last Sunday on April 15, 2012 at 1:00p.m at the Chula Vista Stake Center. David gave a beautiful blessing.  I really enjoyed this baby blessing because I actually got to hear all of it, and David got to say everything he wanted to say.  Usually our babies end up crying through the whole thing. Micah was just in heaven being swayed by everyone up there.  He looked so cute up there looking at everybody. Ariana got the giggles when she saw David heading up there with Micah, and she noticed that Micah kept spitting out his pacifier. He just wanted to look around and check out all the action.  Micah we are so lucky to have you.  We just can't get enough of you!

Date Night

We got to attend my friend's wedding this weekend.  The wedding was beautiful, and the Bride was just stunning.  She looked like she could be in a wedding magazine.  It's been a while since David and I have brushed ourselves up for a nice date.  I had so much fun with him.  I never forget how much I love him, but then sometimes I just find myself looking at him, and then all of a sudden it just kinda dawns upon me how insanely much I do love him.  We had such a good time.  I love dancing with him.  I think it's because how he looks at me.  Sometimes he is laughing at me, other times he seems oddly impressed, and then all of a sudden I just get a look like "I just love you".  I love that look.  Sometimes you forget how important date nights are.  I love my kids, but I also love my David time.  Yup I'm a very lucky girl. 

(I found this Tory Burch dress for 80% off! I love me a good find.  It was so comfortable.  Comfort means everything to me when I am trying to shed some baby pounds. Steady but surely right..... )

Viggo's 3rd Birthday

It was Viggo's third birthday on April 11th.  We were so excited to celebrate his birthday, because I really think he understood that it was HIS birthday.  He told us he wanted a spider man cake.  And when we would ask him what he wanted most for his birthday he said "el negro dragon".  Which means the black dragon, or in other words he wanted Toothless from the movie How to Train a Dragon.  By the way one of the cutest kid movies ever.  It makes me laugh every time I watch it...... and I watch it a lot with Viggo.  It was a simple celebration, we just had cake and ice cream and opened presents.  But he was so happy.  He played with his new toys all day.  And is still playing with them.  I got everyone spider man masks to wear.  He loved it since he pretends to be Spider-Man all the time.  Later David wore one outside and Viggo was on cloud nine trying to fight Spider-Man (his daddy).  

He is such a big boy now.

 Yup I found toothless!! Had to buy him on ebay since they don't sell those toys in stores anymore.

 Arianita was so excited for his birthday.  She was so happy to pick out a gift for him.  She got him little super hero toys.  Like Wolverine, Iron man, and Spider-Man. He loved those too!

I had to put this picture in because it just makes me laugh.  When Viggo was opening presents Nanita became a little over bearing and frustrated by his inability to open gifts quickly.  He loved taking his time and looking at each one for a period of time.  She just wanted to open them all as quickly as possible. Hehehe she is so like me, and Viggo like David.

3 Year old Viggo

1) You love anything having to do with super hero's, dragons, and pirates.

2) You LOVE your Dad.  You want to be around him ALL the time. You just can't get enough of him.

3) You love to play with Ariana.  You pretty much won't do anything without her.  But in the same token you love to push her buttons.  You are quite the teaser.

4) You are an amazing older brother.  You care so much for Micah.  You are the first to reach him when he wakes from his nap.  And you stay right by him till he settles down.

5) You speak Spanish, but you are starting to speak more and more English.

6) You pick flowers for me EVERYDAY after we pick up Ariana from school, accompanied with a big hug and kiss! Cutest thing ever!!!

( I don't know where he learned this, because he just starting doing it out of the blue)

7) You love books. You love when we read to you, and you love to pretend to read to yourself.

8) You have the best smile and laugh.  You can light up a room. And you also have stubborn streak.

9) You are quite the ladies man.  Wherever we go people tell me how handsome you are. 

10) You love to sing.  Right now you are singing "Hukuna Matata" from Lion King.  I love to hear you sing.  Sometimes I just find you belting it out, as you "dance".  Your dancing moves now consist of some shake your bootie moves, along with some of your famous ninja moves.

The Young's Easter Egg Hunt

We were invited to Danica's parents house for an amazing Easter Egg Hunt.  The kids had so much fun.  They had a real bunny there, and they had so many eggs to search for.  The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the company was great.  It was a wonderful Easter weekend.  I am so bummed it's over :0(   And in case you are wondering where Micah is on his first Easter, well he napped right through all the festivities :0)

Two Months

I am trying so hard this time to record each month of Micah's first year.  I failed miserably with my other two.  While David took the kids to the gym this morning I got my camera out and shot these shots of him. I am so excited that I may finally have a picture for each month of Micah's first year.  I guess third times the charm.
