Tut Tut Looks like Rain - Winnie the Pooh

I think it's safe to say we are well on our way into experiencing fall.  Cozy blankets are making their way into the bedrooms and sofas, smell of baking bread permeating the home, sound of rain pitter pattering against our windows, and warm soups being spooned into bowls.  Not to mention realizing that coats are a must out here!

I don't know how we are going to do with a real snowy winter, we are freezing already.  But, it's not going to stop us from enjoying each season! Needless to say my entry way has been filled with muddy shoes and damp sweaters lately.  Now time to cozy up on our sofa with the kids to watch Master Chef junior.  They are so excited to watch it!

* sorry if some pics look blurry especially if you are using a mobile device.  I could web size my pics but I want to print my blog one day so they need to be print sized for best quality.  If you want to see it better just click on a pic.

7th Birthday Fun

Our little Nanita turned 7 on Sunday.  It goes so fast! She was so excited to have a mini-birthday party with all her cousins out here in Washington.  Normally we just celebrate it with David and I and the kids.  Can I just be honest! I loved throwing her a mini party but it made me realize how much work a large scaled party would require. I think I am just not organized enough to throw a real one.  I would have nothing ready.  I'm the mom who bakes the cake and runs around to a couple of stores that same day to find some fun little stuff.  So, far she hasn't been able to tell that her mom is not the best party planner.  I better get my act together because as fast as life is feeling, I think she will be getting married in what will seem like in a blink of an eye.

My boys are just zoned into that birthday cake.  I believe Viggo was sneaking some bites.

-Seven Year Old Nani-

- You still love horses
- You love to read
- You love to take care of Micah lately.  You have become quite the big sister
-You have become fascinated with little critter toys
- You were wanting a ukulele so bad because you enjoy writing your own songs in your journal, and have been wanting to sing your songs along with a "small guitar."
-Your favorite food are enchiladas
- Favorite dessert is ice cream!
- You always request chocolate cake with strawberry butter cream frosting for your birthday.
- You love leggings.
- You love to be funny
- You love writing stories
- You are fascinated lately with the stories from the bible.
- You love the independence you are gaining as you are getting older.  You walk home from the bus on your own this year.  ( I can see her from my porch!)
- You want to take tap dancing lessons this year
-  You are simply as sweet and beautiful as you were the year before that and the year before that one.

We love you Nanita! Happy 7th Birthday!

Here We Go!

As much as I tried to ignore it the day finally came.  Alarm clocks were set, lunches made, clothes set out all in anticipation for today, the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

I'll admit as sad as I was to have our wonderful summer end, seeing them so excited this morning made me happy for them.  I hope they had a wonderful day.  I am so excited to hear all about their first day.

Here is to having a year full of friends, bus stops, homework, parent teacher conferences, talks about life, after school goodies, colds, sports, and loads of paper coming home everyday!

Here we GO!

* And yes Viggo and Ariana really do wear the same shoe size :0)

Butterfly Lashes

I can't get over these eyelashes!  My kiddos love butterfly kisses but sometimes I have to try over and over until they say "oh mom I felt that one."  I would not have such a problem if I had a set of these.  Life is not fair sometimes! Khrysten you are so beautiful. Thank you for allowing me to snap your senior photos!
