Gravity

I looked out my kitchen window today and I saw beautiful golden leaves fluttering off the trees as the fall wind swept them away. Between locking myself out of my home, coming home to a flooded kitchen, loosing my debit card, forgetting to set the garbage out for the past two weeks, and just missing the Mr., I decided I needed to stop and enjoy the kiddos for a bit. They are my gravity.  Every time I think I am about to be whisked away by the demands of life I look into their little faces and they center me.  Adult life is so much more different that I ever imagined it to be.  It has many seasons. And in my short span in this season of my life I realized that all seasons come and go quickly.  And, at the end of each, I always look back and seem to only remember the good.  So, why not do that in the present?  I put away my list of to do's, placed all my little annoyances of the week in a imaginary box, and we went outside to dance with the leaves.

Happy Fall everyone!
