Chessy Photobooth Hearts

I was in a silly mood the other morning, and I was trying to get a shot of Micah and I together off my computer's photo-booth.  I didn't realize that apple added one with little hearts that float over your head.  I don't know why but I thought this was hilarious.  I was busting up for like ever.  Isn't my hubby a good sport. Oh how I love him.  I know some shots are blurry and the lighting is horrible, and it doesn't help that I have morning hair with no makeup and some extra baby chubs on me, but I still love these pictures for some reason.  Especially the one on the bottom where I look like one of those crazed teenage Justin Bieber fans. Except I am a crazed David Ettinger fan lol.  I am such a nerd.  Oh well :0)

My Little Man

Can you believe he is almost two months now.  I have had him for almost a whole two months.  Sometimes I look at him and can't believe how fast he is growing.  I love you Micah.  You look just like your daddy! I tried to get a pic of him with his cute smile which by the way includes the cutest dimples ever. But he seemed not very interested in watching himself onscreen.  Oh how I love my baby. Sorry I know I say it all the time but he just melts my heart.  Oh, and he is growing out his clothes faster than I can change them out.   K that's all.

I want it so bad!

 

Nikon 35mm f/1.4G AF-S Wide Angle Auto Focus Nikkor

 This is the lens that I am currently salivating for.  I love photography but boy it can be an expensive hobby.  I love my new camera, and I really do love the lenses I currently have.  But I want this Nikon 35mm wide angle lens.   I really think it will help out when I want to take wider angle shots.  David laughs at me because there is always something new I want to buy for my camera. I won't be buying this one any time soon since it is priced at $1,799.  But I figure I can slowly save up for it over time.   I think I will throw a party when I finally add this to my little collection.  I have decided that every time I get payed to take pics, I am just going to stash it all away until I can purchase this one.  It is the apple of my eye right now.

One Month

So, Micah is already one month.  He's a pretty good sleeper. He wakes up twice, I don't know if I should count 5:00 as waking up at night, but it feels like it to me. He goes down at 8:30 wakes up at 2:00, and then again at 5:00, and then sleeps until 7:30.  I figure I should record this because I am always asking myself is that what Ariana and Viggo did? 

He is starting to smile way more this past week.  He evens attempts a baby laugh here and there. He reminds me a little more of Ariana.  He is just so observant.  Always looking attentively at what is going on around him.  He naps more like Ariana too.  He wakes up to little noises.  You could run a vacuum in the room with Viggo and he would not wake up.

He is wearing three month clothing, and he just smells so sweet.  I love him.  I am so excited to see what his little personality is going to be like.  Oh and he loves being outdoors.  I love taking him out to the park in my baby pack.  It's my favorite thing to do with him right now.  I just love sitting out in the grass with him watching his little eyes light up to seeing all the green, and sounds.  

The kids right now love playing with Micah before bed.  We get them all bathed. And then David proceeds to talk for Micah.  The kids think it is hilarious.   Ariana one night put her head phones on Micah and I took this shot because I thought he looked so cute. Ariana and Viggo like to sing to him while he wears the head phones. This is the first shot I ever got of him where he started to smile.  He smiles a lot bigger now. 

Watch Out!

Today was laundry day. So I decided that as I was working on laundry, in between loads I could take the kids around the neighborhood in their John Deer power wheel. Sara and Kevin I think they will never forget this one.  They love it!! Every time a car or neighbor would approach them, I would make Ariana stop, but she and Viggo would scream out to the cars and neighbors, "please watch out we are crazy drivers on the road." I couldn't help but laugh, because she and Viggo would always signal everyone else to stop by making the stop motion with their little hands as they would make people aware that they were crazy drivers.  I thought people would be annoyed, but they all came out to see them, and the people in the cars seem to get a good laugh too. They truly were crazy drivers.  I don't know how many times Ariana took her eyes off the road to talk to Viggo and would almost hit parked cars.  After she got use to the power wheel she kept it at high speed, and would not slow down over the speed bumps. They looked so cute! It really made my day.

Bonfire

 

Monday night we had a bonfire with the Franklins. David's sister's family.  The kids had a blast. I know they are happy in Washington, but I wish we lived closer to each other. I wish all the cousins lived closer to each other. Every time they are together they have so much fun, and you know they are developing memories they will never forget. And in case those memories do get a little fuzzy there I am trying to capture it all for them. I want them to look back and not just remember the cool breeze, or the beautiful changing shades of the sky as the sun began to set, or the smell of the hotdogs their uncle Ty and David where preparing, and for sure not the smell of burnt smores (yes we managed to burn smores).  I want them to look back and remember the feelings they had that day.  The feelings that got Arianita to say that "this was the best day ever," or the feelings Ella had when she said "I don't want to leave yet", or what feelings were stirring inside of little Viggo that made him run up to Ty and give him a big hug and kiss.  I want them to remember how much they were and always will be loved. By the looks of it mission accomplished!

Ella's 8th Birthday

It was Ella's 8th Birthday party this weekend.  I can't believe how fast she has grown up.  Here are some shots I got at the park of the family.  Ty managed to stay out of my line of fire, but I'll make sure to get him today when we meet up with them at the beach ;0)
