Preschool

I haven't taken too many pictures for Ariana's preschool group.  I realized that taking pictures while Viggo is around is not always the easiest thing to do.   Last week we took them on a field trip to the Phoenix Zoo, and then this week was my turn to host it, so I decided to take a few quick ones.  

Ariana has known Kael and Alessandra since she was like six months.  It is soooo cute that they are still friends.  Its also really crazy to see how much they have grown.  I need to go back and find some  old pics of them and put them against their new ones.  Especially when you see them interact and play you just realize how much they have grown.  And I love how each has such a different personality.  When they are together they just make laugh.   Each of them now has a sibling, so the little ones are getting to know each other.  They are the cutest little peanuts in the world, but each is so feisty in their own way.  Its like they all know they were second born, and are trying to prove to the older ones that they are not small.  Its really funny to see..... unless my little one decides it time to pinch.  ( Any advice out there on how to get him to stop pinching ) They were super cute today.  We did a pirate theme for the letter "P". I think they liked it..... well I know my little girl did, it was hard for her to break character, she loves pretend play :0)

Crazy and Beautiful Sundays

I have a love hate relationship with 9a.m Sunday Service.  I hate trying to get to church on time, by 9:00.  It always seems that Sunday morning is the one morning the kids decide they want to sleep in.  But then I also love it!! I am out by 12:00, and get to spend the rest of the day with my family.  We have no appointments, or errands to run.  We just get to enjoy our afternoon, eating yummy food, talking about everything under the moon, and we end the day by just laying out on the trampoline.  I feel like Sundays, I remember to stop and enjoy all the little moments, and really take it all in.  And when I do this I am left in awe by what I have been blessed to have in my life.

When I remember to stop and really take them in, they take my breath away every time.  :0)

Its Gone

Today, I found Ariana and Viggo's Easter outfits.  I have been so excited to find their clothes, so I can take cute pictures of them.  I also found a great shirt for David.  I thought I would be the easiest, since I found the dress I wanted online over the weekend.  But guess what I go today and its gone :0( 

It must have sold out.  I am so bummed that I didn't get it sooner. It was such a great price.  Who knows it may have not fit me the way I would have liked it too. I just thought that if I bought a little bit larger of a size, I could get it to be knee length. Sometimes these styles end up being a little short for me, but I was so sad to see that it was gone.  I just thought it would look so cute with the kids outfits that I picked out.  Plus I loved that it was made out of a sheath material, it looks so light and fun.  Oh well back to looking at more dresses. Such torture for someone who LOVES clothes lol.

 

I found this one on the Kohl's website too.  I kinda like that it's really long, it seems so romantic.  She has these really pretty cardigans that she has on her website over this dress, and it looks really great. I could put a cardigan over, and just put a cute belt over the cardigan and dress.  Hmmmm, wonder if I could pull it off.  Sometimes I look at magazines and websites and I love the styling that is involved.  Seems like that would be such a fun job.

Bobadilla Family

 

 I had a lot of fun on this photo shoot.  The kids reminded me of how silly my brothers and I were when we were small, and how we use to drive my parents crazy "sometimes" lol.  The Bobadilla kids laughed the whole time.  Their silliness made me smile.

 

Nothing Bad Happend

 

Lately I feel like I have been trying to redefine myself, or maybe its just finding a place where I am just happy to be me.  I know so lame right?  I just really felt like I was my own obstacle in so many things.  It took me forever to allow myself to go on this venture with photography.   Growing up I never saw myself as someone who could be creative.  So no matter how much my heart ached to take pictures, I would stop myself for fear of I don't know what.  But, guess what I picked up the camera and nothing bad happened. 

The same thing with my hair.  I have felt for so long that to be Latin and beautiful, one had to be skinny yet curvaceous, with long luscious beautiful hair.  I have never seen myself as physically beautiful, but I felt as though my hair helped to deceive people, and allowed them to mistaken me for someone who is some what attractive.  This is going to sound insane but I honestly thought that David found me attractive because my hair.  I have been so afraid to change it for fear that he would finally see me for how I really look.  Because, with short, hair there is a lot of face going on.  There is not much to hide behind.  So, I cut it today.  Its actually above my shoulders.  I haven't had it this short since I was a sophomore in high school.  And guess what nothing bad happened.  I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.  I feel like I am finally getting to a place with myself, where I am happy with myself.  I am starting to not focus on so much the physical and what people think of me.  Its allowing me to do things, that I never imagined I would be able to do.  Its really nice.  I think I like this getting older thing. 

Emotions

David's friend Mark, wanted me to take pictures of his kids expressing different emotions.  I really liked the idea, and this is what came out.  I really want to do this for my kids playroom.  I just have to wait until Viggo is old enough to take direction a little bit better. Who am I kidding, I have to wait until he can take direction A LOT better lol!!

Strawberries, Strawberries, and more Strawberries!!!

For some absurd reason every year I feel that it is my duty to inform the masses that strawberry pie season is upon us. I love Strawberry Season.  It is my absolute favorite fruit.  I love its shape, color, and oh so delicious flavor.  I can eat strawberries with cream, without cream, with ice cream, or in a shake.  I love it all!!! But there is nothing for me like a slice of strawberry pie.  I called Marie Calendars tonight, and its official they are selling STRAWBERRY PIE!!! This fruit brings so much joy into my life.  This time of year makes me feel so happy. I think its a compilation of things, it feels like summer is around the corner, people are starting to shed the sweaters, and people just seem happy to be out and about.  Strawberries for me typify this feeling that I have for spring and summer.  They just make me so happy. Yes, I know this is very sad, but its true!!!  So happy Strawberry Season everyone!

Jose and Andrea Wedding

I think I may have to create a photoblog. I haven't decided yet.  I just couldn't help but to blog about this beautiful couple.  Shooting a wedding was a dream come true.  I LOVE weddings.  Yes, I am one those girls.  I love the colors, the dresses, the flowers the textures, and how perfect all the little details are.  There is just something about newly weds that I love as well.  There is so much excitement in their eyes, and they just are able to take you back to a time when there were not enough kisses, glances, and hugs to express to your other half how much you loved them. 

Appreciation

Two days ago I finished up the last of the wedding pictures I took.  I was so excited!! As I was placing the CD's in their CD sleeve, I was so disappointed by how plain they were.  It felt so anticlimactic putting something I worked so hard on, in something so plain and boring.  So, I decided wedding pictures needed to be presented properly.  I went to Joanne's bought some materials and began my little project.  I made a box to match the bride's colors that she used in her wedding, and made the CD sleeves to match the box as well.  Now, I can honestly say to myself that I am proud of what I am presenting to my client.  A beautiful box, filled with a CD of pictures, and a CD slide show, and a thank you note!! I hope they like it!! I just want my clients to know how appreciative I am that they allowed me to take pictures of their special day!!
